Very important to warm up and stretch before sport

Warming up is definitely important and essential. It is designed to prepare the body for exercise and align the brain with the body. To optimise your performance and avoid injury, warming up is very important.

This is one of the most important stages of the training. There are 4 phases to the workout, namely warm-up, performing the exercises, recovery and stretching. Besides warming up, stretching is also very important. Muscles shorten after exercise and stretching helps to restore them to their pre-exercise state.

Warming up increases blood flow to the muscles and stimulates circulation. It also prepares the nervous system for exercise and reduces the risk of injury. Warming up involves getting several organ systems working. It also increases the production of moisture in the joints, which reduces friction between the joint surfaces. During the warm-up, the heartbeat becomes much stronger. The heart rate increases and this increases the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood.

A sign of an effective warm-up is that you start to sweat. The ligaments become much more elastic and resistant. The cardiovascular system must be prepared for the workload by gradually increasing the intensity. This way you reach a certain heart rate that the body needs.

You can mix stretching with stretching. The point of stretching is to do an activity after the workout that is light. During exercise, the blood pressure in the muscles under strain increases, which should be reduced to avoid nausea or dizziness. Then comes stretching. Stretching is stretching for only a few seconds. It should also be mentioned that the injured muscle should not be stretched.
